You should see this: At the top right, you'll see another Output Device. Set this using the same information above for your output device (box ticked and select device from dropdown).

SETUP - continued(4) Click the Speech (4th) tab. It should look like this: Do the same as the last step for the Output Device. (5) There are other tabs you can check if you want, but those aren't necessary to get you up and running. However, if you want to change the color of the Ventrilo window, you can go to the Misc tab, bottom left. Tick the override window colors and set your own foreground and background colors. You can also go to the 2nd tab (Events) and click the All TTS if you want to set all events to Text-To-Speech. Once done, click OK at the bottom of the Setup window. You should see a Connect as the top button on the right side. If you do, click it. The first thing you'll see is the MOTD. You can just close this, but doing so will make it show every time you log on. If you want it to show ONLY after it's been changed, tick the box indicated before clicking close: (6) ALL Guest accounts are automatically put into our General Chat channel: To change channels on Ventrilo, simply double-click on the channel name. If you have access, you'll be moved to that channel.

Check your microphone in Windows by going to Control Panel > Sounds > Recording (tab) and make sure the default microphone (indicated with a checkmark) is also the one giving output (the green bars on the right): If it's not the default, click on it and the button Set Default to make it the default microphone. Once you've got the default microphone set, click on it to highlight it, then click Properties. On the new popup, click on the Levels tab and check the settings:
