A ProBoards Admin, David Clark, has created a Scavenger Hunt plugin that's already set up for Halloween. As you peruse the boards and threads, you may see a piece of candy floating around on the page. Clicking this candy will add it to your bag. This is a just for fun thing, as David is still working on the plugin for additional features, like a leaderboard. I'll update the plugin as David adds new features.
If you do not want the candy to show for you, there is a new group named Scavenger Hunt Opt Out. This is an "open" group, meaning you can join and leave at any time. If you join this group, the plugin won't run for you - meaning you won't see the candy to collect. To join this group, click Profile at the top to go to your profile, then click the Groups tab. Scroll down (if needed) to find the group Scavenger Hunt Opt Out and click the Join button for it. That's it - you'll no longer see the candy on the forum at all. If you decide later that you do want to opt back in, simply go back to your profile and click the Groups tab again. Find that group and you should see a Leave group link under the group name. Click this Leave Group link to remove yourself from the Scavenger Hunt Opt Out group to be able to participate.
Again, as this is a Beta release, there is no actual "goal" to reach. I may, however, see about what can be added as prizes for reaching certain amounts collected. As far as I know, you'll have to look at someone's post to see how many they have, as it only shows on the mini-profile (the person's profile in posts). I might also see if David may add an Edit feature so the candies can be "exchanged" for items in the store.
