Tagging a Member is quite useful, especially if you need to draw their attention to a post that you may need a reply from them. If their Notification settings are turned on, at least for the Forum Notifications, they will get notified when they are tagged - indicated by a bubble with a number in it next to the Profile link in the navbar. So, how do you tag someone? You put the @ symbol in front of their USERNAME - not their Display Name. There are a couple of methods to get someone's username: 1. Click Members in the navbar, and the second column lists usernames: 2. Go to any post of theirs and mouse over their name in the mini-profile: So, to tag me, you would type in @kittykatt - please note that it is all lowercase - and it would look like this: Kitty Katt (since the link color is the same as my text color, mouse over my name and you will see that it is a link) Another method you can use is when you are creating a new thread or using the full reply (quick reply does not have these buttons). In the BBCode bar, find the Insert User Link: Clicking that will give you a small search box. Start typing their name - this can be display name or username - and it will start populating with possible matches. Click on the name you want and it will automatically place the tag at the cursor's current position. If the name you want is not showing up there, please inform the Admin - as he will need to go to ProBoards Support to request a User Re-Index for the forum. I hope you found this helpful.
