I've used our censored word list to simulate BBCode - an OOC box.
First of all, please bear in mind that this "BBCode" is not a built-in BBCode, and thus looks different when you edit your post. As with all BBCode, it gets put into square brackets: [ ]
To use: simply put ooc inside square brackets, type in your OOC message, then end it with /ooc inside square brackets. I've had to add spaces in my example, otherwise it would just do the substitution. Just note that you do NOT add in spaces. For example, I'll show it to you as [ ooc ] - but you would NOT have the space between the "[" and "o" nor the space between the "c" and "]".
EXAMPLE (spaces added to prevent execution):
[ ooc ]This would be your OOC chat and would show up in a box. The box should automatically add scrollbars if the text becomes longer than the box size.[ /ooc ]
Here's what it will look like when it actually executes:
Please note that it will look like this if you edit your post:
If you need to edit your OOC text - edit ONLY the part that is your actual text and none of the coding. Editing any part of the coding will most likely break the OOC box and you'll be left with garbage. Therefore, in the above example, the only part you can edit would be: This would be your OOC chat and would show up in a box. The box should automatically add scrollbars if the text becomes longer than the box size. You CAN add text - as long as it is before the /span (in square brackets) part.
This next example is just a long-winded nothing - just to show you that the scrollbars will get added when the text exceeds the box's dimensions:
If you've got any questions, PLEASE ASK. I'll be happy to help you.

OOC CHAT
This is just a long-winded nothing for the OOC box to simply show you that the scrollbars will get automatically added should the entire text be too long to normally fit into the borders of the box. As you can see, very long OOC chat will stay within the confines of the OOC box, but it will automatically add the scrollbars to allow you to see the rest of the content. The OOC box is of fair size to begin with, but there are some who do tend to elaborate on their OOC comments. The scrollbars allow for this without breaking the space allowed for it.
